Since 1989, Mark Wallace has led Texas Children’s Hospital. In that quarter century, a lot has changed — Houston has grown, the Texas Medical Center has multiplied and TCH has grown from one building to the ever-expanding hospital system it is today.

In the ‘90s, Wallace oversaw the nation’s first pediatric health maintenance organization, Texas Children’s Health Plan. At the turn of the century, he led the hospital into a $1.5 billion expansion that included the Heal Sick Children campaign, which raised $500 million toward supporting the hospital.
